Detail Itineries

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,428ft)

After landing at the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative of the Go Nepal than who will drop you off the hotel. Then we checked into the hotel, we refresh and rest for a while. In the evening, a welcome dinner will be organized by the Go Nepal. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2 : Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation

We visit Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, and Bouddhanath Stupa, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Durbar Square reveals the life of royalty in antiquity. The Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important pilgrimage sites for all Hindus. Swayambhunath is also known as the monkey temple and the Bouddhanath stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world. At the evening, we introduce ourselves to our fellow participants and discuss our trip for the next day. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3 : Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (827m/2689ft): 5-6 hours

After early breakfast in the morning and then we leave for Pokhara, also known as the City of the lake due to a large number of lakes in the city. Upon our arrival in Pokhara, we are rewarded with magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri (8,167m / 26,794 feet), Manaslu (8,156m / 26,759 feet), Machhapuchhre (6,993m / 22,943 feet), the five Annapurna peaks and others. Then we checked into our hotel and take a break. We enjoy sailing on Fewa Lake and stroll through the picturesque streets of the city. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 4 : Pokhara Trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m/5052ft): 3-4 hours

After breakfast, your trip to Ghorepani Poon Hill begins. A one and half hour drive via the large village of Lumle takes you to Nayapul. The trek begins from here, descending first by a staircase then crossing the river by a wide path paved with stones leading to a big prosperous city, Birethanti (1000 m). The hiking then trails through winding bamboo forests and waterfalls with deep pools that invite you to a refreshing swim. Beyond a pasture used by pony caravans, the trail joins a small village, Sudami, where you can have lunch. After lunch, we climb regularly along the valley to reach Hille (1510 m). After a short walk, you will arrive at Tikhedunga, where you will spend the night.

Day 5 : Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2775m/9104ft): 4-6 hours

After early morning breakfast, we cross the Tikhedunga River on a suspension bridge, then cross Bhurungdi Khola on a large bridge at 1520m. You will then climb a steep staircase on the hill that has more than 3,300 steps. The relentless staircase continues to the great Magar village of Ulleri (2080m). From Ulleri, the trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. You walk along the river cascading through a forest of refreshing oaks and rhododendrons. The road crosses two clear and bright streams, a small ridge and another stream before making a short ascent to Nangathanti (2460 m). We rest a little with lunch here in Nangathanti. The day of destination Ghorepani (2750 m) is reached approximately one hour after Nangathanti. Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 6 : Ghorepani to Poon Hill and Trek to Tadapani (2540m/833ft): 5-6 hours

Most people wake up before dawn the next day to do the morning excursion of Poon Hill (3210 m), one of the best views of the Himalayas in Nepal, a breath-taking view of the sunrise on the high mountains of the Himalayas. The spectacular panorama extends from Dhaulagiri I (8167 m) and Tukuche (6920 m) to Nilgiri (6940 m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091 m), Hiuchhuli (6441 m) and Tarke Kang (7193 m). Gangapurna (7454m), Lamjung Himal (6986m) and Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchhre 6997m) will cut your breath and eyes. Watching the beautiful sunrise is a defining moment with lots of fun and tranquillity. After breakfast, our trek to Tadapani begins where you will spend the night. A short morning climb to the Deurali passes for a spectacular view of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. The trail descends steeply through the dense moss-covered forest with rich bird life to Tadapani, which also offers a close-up view of the sunset.

Day 7 : Tadapani Trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6365ft): Trekking to Nayapul and drove to Pokhara

Today, the hiking trail quickly descends through the rhododendron forests to Baise Kharka. You can spot monkeys and great varieties of birds. The road to the right makes a short and steep descent between the rocks to a stream and then crosses a ridge to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is the second largest village of Gurung in Nepal. You can explore the labyrinthine streets of this prosperous Gurung settlement. Enjoy beautiful views of the southern Annapurna Mountains and Fishtail. After lunch in Ghandruk, the road crosses small villages, rice terraces and subtropical forests that offer a very pleasant overview. We will follow especially Modi Khola, which always flows with an easy and pleasant ride to Birethanti. The trail descends gently along the stream. We continue our walk to Nayapul and drove back to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 8 : Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the beautiful northern horizon of Pokhara and head towards Kathmandu. This will be a trip along the banks of the river with wonderful views of the terraced hills and the Nepalese rural lifestyle. After arriving in Kathmandu, we take a break or do some souvenir shopping. To celebrate the successful completion of our trip, we will have a farewell dinner at night. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 9 : Final departure

Our trip to Ghorepani - Poon-Hill in Nepal ends today. A representative from the Go Nepal will drive you to the airport about three hours before the planned flight. On your return flight, you can bring back incredible memories of your trip to Nepal.
